Award juries love some things that quietly cost a small business its customers.
Taking over your scrolling
Pages that snap or change speed make people feel lost, and some think the site is broken.
Loading screens
Anything that hides the page while it loads loses impatient visitors before they see a thing.
A whole site as a 3D world
They win awards, but they are heavy on phones, hard for Google to read, and hide the phone number.
Sound that plays by itself
It startles people at work and on the bus, and they leave.
Words that only appear after code runs
